I am really enjoying these little walk breaks through the day. I am noticing buildings and trees and life that exists all around my home and work neighborhood that I never realized was there. I’ve realized that if we don’t really put the effort into paying attention, we miss the most beautiful things around us. The little things..like building colors, or the paint chipping from their walls, nature and its texture or lack there of, names carved in the trunks of trees, fallen street signs, or new ones, etc.
During my second around the block walk of the day, the reflection of the sun hitting a yellow surfboard atop a car is what grabbed my attention. Something so boring and arbitrary to one person…might be a photographic moment to another.
